  • The 10th U.S. National Conference on Earthquake Engineering - CUREE will have a booth (No.9) at the upcoming 10NCEE conference to be held July 21-25, 2014 in Anchorage, Alaska. This event will bring together more than a thousand earthquake risk reduction professionals from the U.S. and beyond covering issues critical to earthquake engineers, scientists, policymakers, and disaster mitigation.

  • The 11th International Conference on Advances in Civil Engineering -
    This conference to be held in Istanbul October 21-25, 2014, has a broad multi-disciplinary theme that is particularly focused on academic trends and innovations. Earthquake engineering is one of the key civil engineering topics, and the program includes insights related to university civil engineering programs that can be learned from other fields, such as mechanical engineering. The early registration rate ends next week on July 15.

  • CUREE Seed-funding Proposals Awarded - The seed-funding solicitation that offered financial support to enable the development of the project ideas of CUREE members has closed. From the proposals submitted, three were selected to receive development funds in the amount of $10,000 each. The awarded proposals were:

    Fire Following Earthquake: Exploring Potential Funding Opportunities

    Development, Integration and Large-Scale Validation of Seismic Protection Systems for Increased Seismic Resilience
