| Joseph Penzien (1924-2011)
It is with great sadness that we share with you the news that Joseph Penzien passed away the morning of Sept. 19, 2011.
The family had a private burial ceremony. The burial event was restricted to the immediate family.
They would like to hold a "celebration of life" gathering for Professor Penzien in a few weeks to be held in Berkeley, California, where Professor Penzien taught for many years at the University of California, Berkeley before retiring. See below for more information.
