advancing earthquake engineering research, education and implementation
CUREE officially closed its doors at the end of 2016 after 28 year of serving the earthquake engineering community. Strategies for trying to continue the non-profit corporation proved unsuccessful over the past several years, with a persisent lack of funding opportunities leading to the necessary winding up and dissolution of the CUREE organization.
CUREE publications are available at this website for free download until the end of the year. Archived reports are also available through the U.C. Berkeley NISEE-PEER digital library at (http://nisee.berkeley.edu/elibrary/).
Shown below are many of the research and outreach efforts that CUREE was involved in developing and promoting over the past two decades. While CUREE is no longer in operation, the role it played in improving building codes, construction standards, public policy, and STEM education will continue to resonate well beyond the field of earthquake engineering.
